Disney’s new series ‘Baymax’ features a trans character and a gay couple

But as expected, there are some viewers who are not so keen with Disney showing queer characters in their animated works.

Christopher Rufo, an American conservative activist and writer, posted on Twitter the clip of the scene where Baymax is offered menstrual pads by the transman.

He included in his post the caption, "I've obtained leaked video from Disney's upcoming show "Baymax," which promotes the transgender flag and the idea that men can have periods to children as young as two years old. It's all part of Disney's plan to re-engineer the discourse around kids and sexuality."

Other social media users, however, were quick to defend the scene.

"Baymax is just out here existence a good ally and you’re really gonna be weird about it? Kids…have periods. If you didn’t know that, I perceive like you’ve somehow been willfully ignorant about it," one user wrote.

One user emphasized that menstrual periods are a bodily function, and should be talked about more and be less embarrassed by it.

On Big Hero 6: The Series season 2 episode 3, Hiro became concerned about the lack of progress reversing Orso Knox’s transformation into a monster, so he headed to Sycorax Labs to uncover what was going on. Unfortunately, he got trapped with Baymax and Karmi when the lab went on lockdown after Knox escaped from his cell.

1. Wasabi’s Gay

Look, I’ll just come right out and say it: the flustered way Wasabi reacts when Liv Amara’s assistant Chris returns to offer him sustenance, pretending that he doesn’t remember him, clearly shows he has a devotion on him. I’m not surprised, given Wasabi’s effeminate innateness, and the presence of LGBT characters on other Disney shows (like Andi Mack and Star vs. the Forces of Evil), as well as cartoons on other networks. I just expect for Wasabi’s sake that Chris isn’t as evil as his employer. (Also, I really enjoyed Fred demonstrating it’s ok for direct guys to locate other guys nice looking, as successfully as Go Go’s nonplussed reaction to Chris’s good looks.)

2. You’re Not You When You’re Hungry

Knox is initially made out to be much more animalistic than his previous

BH6 LGBTQ+ Headcanons

Please people don't attack me these are just personal headcanons

Hiro: Demisexual Panromantic. Gender is just sort of irrelevant to Hiro, and he doesn't see it as anything worth prioritizing for a companion. However, in command to feel any attraction towards someone he needs a close connection with them.

Tadashi: I could see him either being bisexual person or pansexual. One of the two most likely.

Wasabi: He's probably gay, but I could spot him being bi too

Honey Lemon: She's totally pan, no doubt about it. Honey Lemon has a huge heart and is unseal to any and all genders. She just loves people!

GoGo: Most definatly lgbtq+. I really just can't picture her with a dude lol.

Fred: Kind of a question mark? Maybe bi? Could just be straight? I'm honestly underneath it all just getting ace vibes? I can't really picture him in a relationship with anyone.

Bonus

Karmi: Could be just about anything. I can observe her being unbent, bi, pan, or just really anything else really. Honestly I sort of think she could be a transgender girl too??? Idk just my opinion
