Why Did Mike Myers’ Career Go Down The Shitter?
R47, I know you’re trying to suggest that your taste is so much more discerning than anyone else’s, but if you can’t recognize that Punch Drunk Love and Everlasting Sunshine of the Spotless Mind received overwhelmingly favorable reviews both at the time and in retrospect — even if you don’t agree with the assessment of those films — you are completely, totally wrong in a way that suggests you’re either idiotic or a liar.
Eternal Sunshine regularly places highly among the best films of the 2000s, and was acclaimed enough to win a Screenpkah Oscar. Punch Drunk Love has been reassessed among critics as one of PTA’s masterpieces (and I deliberate that’s contrarian nonsense, but I won’t pretend that other people don’t perceive that way). Among the other films mentioned, Little Fail Sunshine and Dreamgirls both won a few major Oscars, earned good to great reviews, and their reputations linger relatively intact today. Even the weakest of the movies mentioned, Stranger Than Fiction, got generally decent reviews for everyone involved.
Everything that R43 wrote was true, even if you personally differ with how those films either were or are now asse

First there were blind items about a “closeted funny man” and then there were all of those rumors about Mike Myers and men…? Well, here is just another reason to not lay any stock in blind items: Mike Myers is secretly married – to a woman! It’s Mike’s second marriage after his 12-year-marriage to his first wife, Robin Ruzan. Shortly after Mike and Robin split, he got together with hipster tea-girl Kelly Tisdale, who used to outing Moby (who I also thought was gay?). Kelly and Moby still acquire a tea shop together, I believe. She’s pretty adorable in the photos I could find.
Anyway, Kelly and Mike got married five months ago without anyone knowing!

Michael Myers Accused of Being Homophobic in New 'Halloween' Movie
Psychopathic serial killer Michael Myers might possess more issues than just his penchant for murder -- apparently, the internet is gravely concerned about his bigotry against same-sex attracted people.
This is actually a thing ... the latest iteration of the masked madman is creature accused by some Twitter truthers of being homophobic for offing a same-sex couple in the new "Halloween Kills" movie ... which just came out about a week or so ago.
Granted, some of these tweets were likely done in jest, but it's hard to tell who means what. Point is, people have written the words -- which is sorta outrageous in and of itself.
One person jokingly writes, "HALLOWEEN KILLS WAS SO GOOD BUT WHY DID MICHAEL HAVE TO KILL THE ONE GAY COUPLE... MICHAEL MYERS IS HOMOPHOBIC CONFIRMED."
If you haven't seen it yet ... there's a middle-aged gay couple depicted for a good portion of the flick who are now living in Myers' childhood home. He eventually breaks in and murks 'em both, in pretty vicious fashion too. In the complete, MM lays their bodies next to each other.
While many appreciated the representation, others appear to have been
