Daryl McCormack is a native of Nenagh, Co Tipperary, born to an Irish mother and African-American father who met in California.
After falling pregnant with Daryl, his mum moved endorse to Ireland to raise her son, who was born on January 22, 1993.
Although Daryl was raised away from his dad, he still maintained a good relationship with his paternal family, especially his grandfather with whom he used to go to the theatre, sparking his love for acting.
Daryl's interest in acting led him to the Dublin Institute of Technology's Conservatory and the Gaiety School of Acting, from which he graduated in 2014 with a BA in Drama.
