LONDON (CBS/AP) Saudi Arabia Prince Saud Abdulaziz bin Nasser al Saud was convicted Tuesday of murdering one of his servants in a British hotel, in a frenzied ambush fueled by alcohol and sex.
A jury in London's Antique Bailey criminal court found the 34-year-old prince guilty of murdering his servant, Bandar Abdullah Abdulaziz, at the Landmark Hotel in London on Feb. 15, 2010.
Al Saud, whose grandfather is a brother of the current Saudi king, faces a doable life prison designation in prison when he is sentenced on Wednesday.
The jury deliberated 95 minutes before returning its verdict.
Prosecutor Jonathan Laidlaw said the prince had abused his aide in the past, showing jurors video shot in the Landmark's elevator which appears to show the shaven-headed prince, dressed in white, throwing his 32-year-old servant around and battering him.
Photographs of Abdulaziz stored on a mobile phone "plainly proved" that there was a "sexual element" to the abuse, Laidlaw said.
"The prince was fueled by champagne and 'sex on the beach' cocktails when he bit the 32-year-old hard on both cheeks during the attack in February," the U.K.'s Telegraph newspaper reported.

LONDON (AFP) ― A gay Saudi prince jailed for life in Britain for murdering his servant is to work for the rest of his sentence in his place country, a British government source said on Tuesday.
Prince Saud bin Abdulaziz Bin Nasir, a grandson of Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah II, was jailed in 2010 for killing Bandar Abdullah Abdulaziz in a London hotel after subjecting him to a “sadistic” campaign of violence and sexual abuse.
The source confirmed that British Justice Secretary Chris Grayling has approved the 36-year-old prince’s convey to a jail in Saudi Arabia.
The source could not specify when the prince would be transferred, but The Times newspaper reported that he was expected to fly residence within weeks.
