Is odell gay

Odell Beckham Jr. is not a man threatened by toxic masculinity, so when various Carolina Panthers used gay slurs against him in a 2015 game while he was part of the New York Giants, he was unbothered. In the 26-year-old's unused interview with GQ, the Cleveland Browns wide receiver opened up about the incident and all the whispers that he might be gay.

"I’ve never had an opportunity to chat about this. Honestly wasn't offended," Beckham said with ease. "I’ve never once had no problem with anybody who has their own personal life that they live. I hold friends who are queer . It was almost more funny to me. I almost messed with them even more. It's favor when someone gives me an ultimatum, I'm usually always going to proceed to the opposite way of what you desire me to go. So when they would tell that, I would almost mess with them even more. I have no problem with anyone's sexual orientation."

GQ writerMark Anthony Verdant went on to signal out that the fuss around his sexuality, particularly on black gossip sites directly contribute to homophobia in the black society or "the idea that someone must be male lover because they're dancing or have blond hair." "Or because they're 'close with other me

Is Odell Beckham Gay?

The question if Odell Beckham is homosexual has led to taunts over the years. Rather than focus on his exceptional football skills, speculators, including other players, have chosen to question his sexuality. Odell Beckham, who has received little open aid as he tried to bat away these questions, had seemingly tried everything.

  • He tried ignoring the question and focussing on his employment instead, which must be difficult with the homophobia he had to deal with.
  • He attempted to address the ask without alienating fans who are queer. In an interview with Gaytimes, he spoke out against being stereotyped over every small deed and said passion is love, and he has no issue with anyone’s sexuality.
  • Finally, after the Calvin Klein campaign, he was committed in, which fanned the flames again, he said outright he was straight.

Why Do People Speculate if Odell Beckham Is Gay?

Humanity seems to have latched on to Odell Beckham being male lover and now spot everything he does, taking it as a sign of a homosexual lifestyle. The billboard where he advertised a pair of boxers for Calvin Klein was a sure sign to those who already

I long for Odell Beckham Jr. never comes out. Actually, I hope the New York Giants wide receiver isn’t even gay. I wish he ends up with the flyest chick on the block, and they give joint interviews where she says she enjoys a man who’s fun and lives his life and doesn’t feel the need to scowl 24/7, hunched over like a Neanderthal trying to protect his manhood.

In case you missed it, there’s an outing campaign in progress against Beckham, because over the weekend someone posted a video to Instagram of him dancing with a friend. (Well, the same people calling his video “suspect” already said he was gay due to similar videos, but now I assume he’s even gayer.) This sort of witch hunt is the reason why black men and athletes still don’t like coming out of the closet, and black masculinity continues to build life more difficult for all of us, regardless of our sexuality.

The response to this video is the difference between shadowy masculinity and white masculinity in a nutshell. White men are allowed a greater range of expression before they are automa

GQ: "There was a period of second when a lot of gossip sites—specifically black gossip sites—would constantly say that you were closeted. They'd call you “excited” in a hot-tub photo with your teammates or simply just speak you're gay. How'd that make you feel?"
Odell Beckham Jr: "I've never had an opportunity to talk about this. Honestly wasn't offended. I've never once had no challenge with anybody who has their have personal life that they live. I have friends who are gay. It was almost more funny to me. I almost messed with them even more. I possess no problem with anyone's sexual orientation."
GQ: "I feel appreciate posts like that only contribute to homophobia in the black community. The idea that someone must be gay—or that being same-sex attracted is in any way shameful—because they're dancing or contain blond hair seems so small-minded."
Odell Beckham Jr: "Or because they're 'close with other men.' Even like little videos where they view me leaned advocate or something, they'll say that I'm looking a
