Laura prepon gay
Stop. Vause time.
Laura Prepon, you are the love of our lives. What can we say? We’re a sucker for a baddie.
Alex Vause might screw over Piper a billion and one times but we don’t condemn Chapman for crawling advocate . How can anyone resist that husky voice of hers?
Dayum. Some might even state you’re the Shane of OITNB – but with better eyebrows. Obvs. No offence, Kate Moennig.
Here are ten things you might not know about her.
1. She is of half-Russian, half Irish descent. So now we know. That’s the mix you need to create a goddess.
2. She’s naturally a red brain. Google image it now because those auburn locks will make you weep with happy.
3. Unsurprisingly, she used to be a model working in the fashion capitals of the world. So, like Alex Vause, she did explore and probably led a luxurious life but I’m afraid she wasn’t actually ever a super badass drug dealer.
4. Her favourite book is The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. Aww –
(CBS NEWS) - Laura Prepon, 34, is shooting down rumors that she's internet dating fellow Scientologist Tom Cruise, 51, in a new interview with SheKnows.com.
"It's just so funny that, when people don't know, they just make stuff up, [like], apparently I'm dating Tom Cruise right now," she says. "And apparently he doesn't wish me doing the show ["Orange is the New Black"] because I portray a lesbian and I'm a Scientologist. This is false; where are they even getting this stuff? It's impossible to me."
"The thing that sucks is that there's so much false information because people are in mystery as to what Scientology is, so they just kind of make up stuff," Prepon added. "It's kind of unfortunate because then I have to be like, 'No, that's actually not what's happening.'"
She also clarified that just because you're a Scientologist, doesn't mean you're automatically anti-gay.
"You comprehend, in terms of portraying a queer woman on the display, I am a huge supporter of the LGBT people. I'm going to the GLAAD Awards in a several weeks," she says. "I went to the human rights campaign. I flew up to San Francisco and did this whole thing and I won this award [for] being a vertical woman portraying a gay woman

The former That '70s Demonstrate actress plays female homosexual drug-dealer Alex Vause, the former companion of main ethics Piper Chapman, in the comedy drama series and she hopes the entertainment will pave the way for the portrayal of more same-sex relationships.
However, Prepon, who is heterosexual, admits her sentimental scenes with co-star Taylor Schilling were a little daunting at first.
She tells Canada.com, "I'm a supporter of the gay and womxn loving womxn community. I acquire friends who are lesbian, I possess friends who are gay. It's all about the traits. Yes there are a lot of lesbians on this show. Besides The L Word (TV show) there aren't lesbians portrayed enjoy this on television.
"For me, I've never played a sapphic before and I think it's wonderful. As a teaching experience playing this love for someone on camera and having it be a women was very interesting because I'm straight and I've only done it with men on camera...

It’s hard to think back to a moment when a Netflix original exhibit was something new and electrifying. But in 2013 when Orange Is the New Black premiered, the streaming service was still predominantly established as the go-to place to rewatch your favorite shows without commercials or DVDs. This story isn’t about how the entertainment changed Netflix, though. This story is about how it changed me and queer representation on TV.
In July 2013, I had just finished my freshman year of college at Emerson, was still severely closeted and didn’t have the plethora of lgbtq+ TV that is available now to turn to for solace. Then, Orange Is the New Black dropped and changed it all.
For a girl who grew up in a small town in the countryside of Connecticut, the series was eye-opening and validating from one of its very first frames featuring Alex Vause (Laura Prepon) and Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) showering together. I want I could say the reveal immediately dragged me out of the closet and into a rainbow cape at a Event parade, but, like most things, my coming-out story too
